How are FK automotive tailights (clear/red) in comparison to OEM and other aftermarket.. are they just as good as hella, zkw?

they're not as good as oem, but they're better than all the japanese knock off parts. Let's just say FK is the upper end of the scale for aftermarket quality.

that's cool... they won't fog up or anything liek that will they?

I recently bought some FK Ellipsoids w/ AE from Tunerworks. These seem to be good quality, although I have not seen to many ZKW's for comparison. They headlights are made by DEPO.

I am having problems installing the drivers side with my Dinan CAI. Anyone else install euros with a Dinan?

A little off topic, but does anyone know how much they sell the replica red/clear taillights for at pacific mall? I wouldnt mind stopping by cuz at least then I can see how good (or bad) they are in person.

Gotta ask you guys with OEM lights...did you actually pay retail for them? I got quoted at the dealership, $200 PER rear light, $100 something per front corner. WTF is that bullshit? Ridiculous..

I was quoted $210 (taxes extra) per rear light for OEM (at dealership) and I thought that was decent. Nothing but OEM for lights.

But i mean...they're just lights, pretty much plastic? I just don't understand how they're so expensive :)

you basically paying for the quality of the lights. a lot of aftermarket parts (yes, even lights) are plain shit, they bleed into other seciotns, water leaks into them etc...

If the lights are cheap, the plastic where the bulb holders are supported start to melt over time! Check the lights carefully before you buy any lights. I got @#!%ed 2 yrs ago when I decided to buy cheap taillights but I learned my lesson!!!!!

My last aftermarket lights flooded with water and froze in the winter! (on my civic hatch-yes, I was a ricer once!). They were completely screwed. Never again will I buy aftermarket lights.
