doing a custom install, can't figure out exactly where to mount the amp... the wheel well will be home to an XBOX.. (shock proofed / vibration proofed of course... can't let the poor 250GB HD get any damage.)

So without the wheel well... on the left/right side?... it's tough because I still want to be able to access my shock mounts if necessary.

the best place is in the spare tire well

as I mentioned though, my spare tire well will be home to the XBOX... and I'll have to run some a/c ducts there for the summer, and heating ducts for the winter with a thermostat... the amp will cause more heat in the summer in there... something I have to take into consideration.

all that wood = lotsa weight...
just mount the amp against the rear seat backing.

not a fiberglass setup.. but I am doing a custom install. I'd like the amp to be visible... :(

its not alot of wood. its about 3/8's thick and i didnt want to srew into the rear fram . so i put in some bolts though already there holes and through the wood then screwed the amp into it . anyway unless your box is make of feathers i think you got more weight just in that thing then i got in my full tool box :D
