I live in Montreal (Quebec) and I was wondering, what would happend if I buy a car located in Ontario. Does anyone know if I would charge me the tax ? Will I need to have an inspection done to the car before to transfering the car in Quebec ? What about licence ?

thanx in advance

they charged me tax comming from the us to canada border

My car did not have to pass emissions first, they do check it over though. The papers have to be at the border 2 days ahead...

but again this is info from us to canada...

You pay GST when you buy the car in Ontario, then when you get it registered in Quebec you have to pay the PST. What is the PST in Quebec anyway?
