What should I get? What performance differences would i notice?

Stock wheels are like 185/60/15.

I think I will jump on the bandwagon towards Kumho Ecsta Supra 712... since I know shit about tires... and I'm cheap.

I don't really want to but would there be an advantage on forking extra cash over for Michelins or Pirelli?

Shouldn't the sizes be 225/45/17 and 215/45/17?

What is the width of your wheels? And how much are you paying for the Kumho's? I'm currently running Yokohama ES100's, they're not too expensive either (a little more then the Ecsta 712's) and I have no real complaints yet, I got more them what I paid for.

By the way, I tried PM'ing you a couple times but your PM box was full.

sorry cleared....

I have M3 rims 17x7.5

Jay, yea and 215/45/17 is also what im considerning too... I'm just not sure which size is right for me. I want to minimize tire weight.

I don't know of a good place to buy, but I checked 1010 tires, and the 215/35/17s are somewhere around $520.. I might check Costco, but I don't know if they have a good selection?

Your sizes AND choice of tire are just...wrong.

Get 225/45/17 ES100's.

I agree with ^^^^^^^^
Don't go for a smaller profile tire that is too small, you'll really mess up your speedo accuracy

if you're really strapped for cash, you can find some pretty good used 225/45/17 tires (seen a few in the for sale section, here and e46toronto, from those that have put winters on), with lots of thread left. Other than that ... stay with 225/45 size like others above have menioned.
