i've got a nak deck (cd-45z)... it's pretty damn good - nice clean sound and looks close to stock (amber display)... the only problem is that the radio reception sucks

as far as i know, there are no problems with the wiring and no loose connections - i've checked it out 2-3 times

am stations are OK... but stations like 93.7, 93.5, 105.5 all fade in and out w/ lots of distortion

anybody else with a nak deck experiencing the same thing?

i think it was about 6 bills... could be off though it's been a while

you remember the quality long after you forget about the price...

wowow - second time i've had the chance to use that saying in two days*wave*

But generally if you want a nice clean sounding deck thats a cut above the rest then nakmichi is the way to go. The only thing is I have seen quite a few nakamichi's break down, especially cars that have factory nak components like lexus, etc.
Most simply put, when they work they work great..........when they work at all that is.

make sure you have the antenna booster hooked up to 12v source...and if you don't have booster...get one...they should have sold it too with the deck
