Number 1 for sure.

#2 would look pretty foolish on an E30. I've never been a fan of the Alpina style either, but if I had to choose out of those, then definitely #1.

Check these out... I think they look great on an almost-stock E30.

NO, I SAID NUMBER 2!!!!!!

#1 would look great! E30s are too boxy to pull off a five spoke wheel.

I'll admit that they are attractive, but they just don't "do it" for me. Plus, they are pretty much the bandwagon choice in the E30 community. :D

More Alpina Kopi goodness.

Really? I don't think so... But even if this was true, I wouldn't prevent myself from getting them because a few guys I'll probably never meet have them... ;)

Yep, before he bought it.

Meh, call me a sucker for the classic BBS cross-spoke pattern. I don't think anything looks better on an E30. If I were buying rims, I'd pick up a set of Ronal LS', the 15x7.5 with the nice lip. Like stock, but sexier. *mw*

Ryan's car (original 16" Alpinas).

Damn it Al, stop pic-whoring the thread! I'll end it all with the best Alpina wheel pic taken:

I agree. Those are two other beautiful rims. But don't tell me those are extremely rare in the E30 community... :)

Okay, last one. No more picture spamming from me... This is Mike's from BC.

What does the 7.5x15 Ronal LS look like.

Mystikal

Yeah, here's Randy Walter's car. Probably too stock-looking for most, but I love it.

Mikester

Ronals look smart but isn't there an even more deeper dished version ?

Mystikal
02-25-2004, 10:20 PM
Nah, only that size for E30's. I believe you're thinking of something more like the BBS RZ's:

How low is randy's car? 1.5'?

Jase
02-26-2004, 09:25 AM
you can pull off 5 spokes. Type a's are 5 spoke so is windors wheels. But between those i would say #1. Alpina are sick on a e30

Does anyone know what thesewheels are (type, size) and are they expensive ?

Spencer
02-26-2004, 08:10 PM
Those are BBS something. I think they are 16X8 fronts and 16X10 rear or something crazy like that. They are VERY expensive as far as I know.

i like both rims....does you car have a stock exterior ? if so, go with the first ones...

what are the second ones ?

hammoj28
02-28-2004, 06:34 PM
Both wheels are made by a British company called BK Racing. The second wheel is the BK322 and is available in silver or high power black. If you want to see more of their wheels or the second wheel go to: www.bkracing.co.uk . While you are there check out the BK299.

all the wheels posted here look great, as long as they don't exced 16" then the e30 package it unbalance IMHO.

hammoj28
02-29-2004, 01:36 PM
I was probably going to get 17" wheels for my E30, if anyone knows of any problems with 17's please tell me. By the way what does Bladerunner mean about exceeding 16" wheels will make the package unbalanced.

Thanks.

BladeRunner

i was talking about it from a visual luxury stand point nothing else. Sorry should have made that clear...

Well there may be a problem with the wheels rubbing or something, but i've never owned a car with 17" or larger wheels so...

Yeah I have always thought that E30 was the best one I had ever seen. And those rims, how I sooo wish I could afford them !! Some day perhaps but not now.

i really dont like these tons of spokes type wheels that are so common on e30s.

i would really like a thick set of 5-spokes, any recomendations?

similar to #2, but #2 is just ugly.

Personally I prefer the BBS deep dish spoked wheels but your car is your car and it's up to you what you want, everybody should be different when modifying. Here is the Lenso RS5 it looks pretty cool and it isn't expensive.
