hey, i filled my water level up today (havent run the car for about 4 months (its been in the garage), but it oqlnlay had water as a coolant (no antifreeze) and it prqobabaly froze a couple months ago when it was cold here, ANYWAYS it wont hoLD WATER NOW, JUST WONDERING IF ANYONE KNEW WHERE THE FROST PLUG IS ON AN '89 325i engine, im hoping thats all that wrong, and i didnt crack the block
I think there is more than one frost plug. I will look on mine tommorrow

its on the intake side of the engine i think there about 4 of them so that means that you might have to take off the whole intake ass...

OUCH.. that's coolant problems and a half!
can you pin point the area of the leak?
I just finished RE and RE of the entire coolant system on my bro's 325.. what a pain! it had a leak near the water pump.. but there is no way to see whats leaking till you take it apart.. and shure enough, one of the hoses had a crack in it *mad*

arnt they called freeze plugs?
