I have seen some E30's with an mtech 2 kit like mine and four exhausts (twins at each side). So, I had a look and sure enough it would be easy enough to cut another hole in the kit but there is a problem. The underneath of the boot gets in the way and I can't see space for another set of twin exhausts let alone the box. Does anyone know what to do ?

Thanks

to get the other side to fit you have to cut out the battery box thats the only way you are going to fit the muffler on that side.

Thanks but what should I do to cut out the battery box and should I use fibreglass t cover it up?

some people cut out the spare tire compartment and weld a peice of metal to cover the big hole and run the muffler right under there i've seen it before and it works great.

I forgot to ask, what gives the exhaust a really deep sound, is it wider pipes or what?

use a grinder to cut the box out . then with fiberglass out metal cover it back up. for deep sound it depends on the exhaust muffler. remus is a good one the bigger pipe only give more flow.

I'm probably going with powerflow exhausts because they are near me and they build fully customised systems.

Unfortunately no, it was a feature car in performance BMW magazine. It is an E30 325i with a turbo and it produces 350bhp !!. The issue is November 2003. Try and order a back issue or go to their website :www.performancebmwmag.com . If that doesn't work I will try and scan some more pictures of it from my copy sometime.

Since the exhaust is dual on a 325. couldnt you split it after the cat and go straight back?My car has the battery under the hood on the passenger side. Could you just put the battery back up there?

Here's an exhaust I found on ebay last week. Not the greatest design, but it would work.
Personally I don't see any benefit to it, even aesthetically.

My car also has the battery under the hood but the battery box is still in the trunk even though the battery is not in the trunk.

Do you know the dips at each side of the trunk, well the right one is the battery box. But now I am starting to get confused.
