Do you know the SIZE of these rotors, compared to those of the 325?

i dont know the specifics, but im fairly sure that they are thicker than the 318/325 brakes... they may be the same diameter.

I'm fairly certain that all North American e36's share the same brakes, minus the M3 and the 318ti.

umm no... pretty much all of them have different brakes.

These are 286 mm vented front brakes (e36 328/z3 2.8)
- ie 10mm vs 22mm thickness
325 (e36) does not have vented rotors and cars with small cc engines have smaller rotors/callipers.

see: http://www.unofficialbmw.com/e36/brakes/ for brake conversion information...

Let me correct myself, the above applies to front brakes only, I forgot about the rear brake differences. 328 vs. others.

Regarding front brake differences, my friend has vented rotor stock on his 94 318. They're the same size as my 328. And I know that 325 rotors are vented and identical to 328 rotors.

Look it up anywhere, when shopping for for front rotors the 318, 320, 323, 325, and 328 all have the same part numbers.

Only the early 318ti's has the non-vented 10mm rotors in North America.

I just looked it up also in the Bentley's 3-Series Enthusiasts Companion and it confirms that all non 318ti/M3 e36's run vented 2867mm rotors and non-vented 279mm rear discs.

e46 runns different brakes as well.

Like mentioned above....

Great upgrade for 318s, z3 1.9s, e30s and anyone else running smaller brakes. Complete kit for your conversion!
