My wife and I are thinking selling the Z4....
cause we are expacting a kid about 3 months... and driving the Z4 with a baby-seat, isn't really functional....
we allready have the Range Rover.. but we definately need 2 cars...
we are thinking about an Opel Omega (also known as Vauxhall)
http://automobile.channelhome.com/wallpaper/opel/omega32_800.jpg
the price is arround $31.000 on an Omega 2.2i-16V

wtf, you serious??

yeah try to find a m5 again or an 540.
or if you do take the omega, then atleast take the 3.0 V6, that`s a bmw engine I believe.

I just back from the garage, they have an second hand Opel Omega 2.2i-16V Onyx Edition, for about €22.000
that's a nice price for the car you get...

an BMW 5-series is not an option, cause BMW is still expensive when it comes to insurance and stuff...

All those American cars are no-option ;) We live in the Netherlands :p

ánd maybe if the price is good, and third car is possible, maybe an BMW 850 or somethin'... but that's just future...

How about audi?
In Netherlands that should be cheap(er). Also drive down to German 'border' and pick one up there(aren't they cheaper in Germany?)

Omega is a really nice car.
My dad had one and he loved it.
If you can get it at a reasonable price go for it.

I really like it, it's huge inside :P but i really like it, because there's so much space, and that's perfect for the upcoming baby

a opel omega isn't that expansive, so maybe in the future there's room for a third car... I'm thinking of an second-hand Elise or somethin'.... but that's just the future... :P

why don't you get a volvo s60 with a sport package....toite car. not to bad on insurance either*th-up*

02-14-2004, 08:56 PM
Why TiemenT?? Why??

1. you should have gotten that M5 instead of the Range Rover
2. Don't think of leaving the BMW scene :P

buy a E36 or something..

TiemenT
02-15-2004, 05:16 PM
an E36 is so boring, on every corner we see here an E36... and an Opel Omega is so much bigger...

but I said that maybe there is a oppertunity to buy a sportscar... an Elise... or an Z3 coupé in the future...

WhadUpp

E36 is much better looking car than the Omega and handles better too. In North America it was rebadged as a Cadillac catera and it got shitty reviews. I think Cadillac discontinued that model.
It was a boring looking that Catera/Omega.

CTS on the other hand is pimp*th-up*

Yes Caterra is based on Omega, but they are two different cars.
In europe they got both Omega and Caterra.
Opel and GM are affiliated, so Caddy built a small caddy - Caterra and borrowed it from Opel.

Anyway, I never liked the Omega. The biggest cab company in Estonia has Omega cabs, so they are boring. Yes interiors are big, but they are very poorly made.

The only Opels I liked were the last generation Senator( i know that they are outdated by now) and Calibras (still looks cool)

ohhh and cant forget old Mantas. I had the craziest driving experiences in that car.

Omega's are nice cars man go for it. My parents neighbour had an Omega Mv6 and they were very happy with the car. They were so pleased with Opel that they also bought a Vectra 2.5 CDX and a Vectra 1.8 (GL I think) on the side. Good thing is you wont have problems with parts or anything else since they are pretty common all around europe, and Omega's are RWD aswell (if i remember correctly) so you can still have some fun :)

TiemenT
02-17-2004, 04:49 PM
yes Omega's are rear-wheel drive, but they are pretty heavy... so drifting is not an option :P

the photo's are coming tomorrow... it's great ! :D
I drove it today..
