12 Volt in Woodbridge.... not cheap but clean

or

The stereo installers at Hi Fi 2001 at Dundas. Cheaper, you get a receipt and a warranty, but get the older guy there to install everything. He's in his 40's and been doing this for years. He soders all non-deck connections (like alarms, remote starters, etc.) and crimps all deck connections. Plus he drives a Porsche 911 so he know his german engineering.

Whatever you do, DO NOT go to Phantom audio.

Nymber 1 sound On College St.

Very helpful, prices arent too bad, and installation is great !
You can watch them as they install your system !

Diane is awesome to deal with, friendly !!

Markus + Joey will help you decide how you want your system installed. Pass by the shop and check it out one day..

ps: they are very busy, so call before to make an appointment for any installation.

Number 1 sound

My neighbours best friend owns 12 volt. His car is done up buy them and its sick. He helped me with my install. I have not been to it yet myself but I have full confidance in their work and prices.

I have been to number 1. My friend got his clarion from there. I don't like downtown TO so I will never really go back.

My stuff came from Radio Active in burlly.

If I was to come to you for an install how long would you need my car for and I would want a similar setup as the one you are doing at the moment in your trunk. How much do you think this might cost me? (Roughly)

somthing like my trunk would cost $500 and up just the set up not the system and depends on how crazy you want to go. time wise would be about 3 to 4 weeks only on weekend.

The $500 for the whole setup will consist of what exactly? The exact same setup I see in the picture?

What will be used to cover the wood? Also what else that is not in the picture would you consider part of the setup?

Where is Maple Ontario anyhow?

Because they are idiots over there. Go on Torontocivics.com or GTAstreetracing.com and do a search on phantom... all negative reviews. (http://www.maxbimmer.com/forums/showthread.php?postid=303630#post303630)

Hmmmm.... I used to know Dan ever since he was at Audio To Go down the street from Phantom. That's faked! Have you yourself had any bad experiences with him or his work?

Me personally, no. But I've never bought anything there, nor have I got anything installed there.
My experience with the shop is with one buddy blowing 2 amps due to faulty wiring and another buddy having 1. his alarm go berzerk and 2. Using a tape deck for 6 months because the $500 JVC that Dan sold him crapped out twice.

I myself have had some crappy incidents with Dan too. So have a few of my friends. I heard Kennedy HiFi is AMAZING... but.... Their prices aren't! Otherwise I would have given them my business a long time ago.

What Car Audio stores would you recommend going to for great service, good prices, good products, well..... basically good overall everything!

You even supply the plexi glass to cover the amp and subs (If the subs get covered that is)

So to get everything wired up and working how much do you think it would all cost? Everything is all setup in the trunk at the moment. You'll just need to unplug it and rewire it after the install.

Also where is Maple, Ontario?

Sweet!! Thanks for the help! *th-up*

So 12 Volt has good pricing and good quality installs for sure?

I'm debating if I should go the wood route like beammer12000's car or if I should do it all fiberglass. Maybe I'll start a poll on trunk installs and get people to post some pix of what they consider to be nice installs.

12 Volt isnt the cheapest place, but I would call them reasonable for what they do. You may also want to consider a leather or suede install.

Go look inside the trunk of Charlie's europsec... gorgeous/classy/clean*love*

custom work starts at $500 and up depending on what you want when you put plexiglass the price jumps up but like i said it all depends on the style and complexisity.viynel is included but it all depends on the type of material.now something like mine is a no no.*no-no*every car has to be different.if you want p.m me with a time and date when you can come by and we will design something together.or give me some time and i'll put something together .

Sounds great! *th-up* I'm gonna get some funds together in the meanwhile for my mods that I will be doing to my car in the near future. My car comes out in June so until then I am gonna think about what designs I want to do if I have enough $ left after my mods! I didn't mean I wanted a trunk EXACTLY like yours. What I meant was that I wanted something that was the same style, obviously I'd want something different! :) I'll give you a PM after I see how my $ situation is doing then we'll have a serious talk! *th-up*
