a chip might help squeeze out some more power... maybe the bolt on mods? like an intake? exhaust?

also people usually overlook one of the best ways to get more power, weight reduction.. take out everything you dont need... a/c, back seats (if you dont usually have passengers), spare tire...

though if you have the money, your best bet is probably an m50 swap, they arent THAT expensive, and you will get amazing performance out of it

i don't think the '84 318s are chippable; however, i may be wrong. i think i saw a chip mad for the '84 318 in bavarian autosport book. most people say chip doesn't help unless you have mods... to make mine a little quicker i swapped out my one of my fuel delivery fuses for a higher one. do a maxbimmer search for 'how to can i make my 318 faster' or something related.

man if u want power look into get your motor built up
a e12 head , hi compression pistons , a set of headers , injection from a tii 2002 , a serious cam , intake and your set man ! if ur looking to put boost on it i was looking to do the same thing but one day i just might !

You can always just buy an e30 that already has an m50 in it. I'm sure it's not too hard to find an e30m50 for sale  :D
