a 7/8" wrench does it.....
that what we use at the shop.... I its really stubborn..cut the wires right at the top of the O2 sensor and use a deep 7/8 socket...then use the wrench to put the new one in...
its very easy to do unless the O2 is really rusted into the threads
good luck

O2 sensor sockets have a slit in the side for the wires, but it's usually a 7/8" or 22mm socket with a slot, that's all.

Use a 7/8" or 22mm wrench, should work on just about any o2 sensor. One wrench will fit slightly better on some sensors, and the other will fit slightly better on others. Best of luck.

if u type in oxygen sensor in the search bar the 3rd one down is a socket made for them with a slice to get around teh wire problem everyone has with them. the tool is only 20 bucks i think.
