Can someone post a pic of the engine in an e36 320 (I beleive it is considered a m50). I have never seen one, and am curious as to how it looks

so then what does it take to get a 320 and bring it up to 325 performance level.. theres gotta be a bigger difference..plus its .5 litres less displacement

actually isnt the 320 a 2.2?

320 is a 2.0 litre hence the 20 at the end of the number.

The E36 320 engine looks exactly like the E36 325 and 328 engine.

It is not a detuned 325 motor. It has different internal components than the 325.

BimmerMan how is the sale of your BMW going?

I remimber you or someone else asked what could they get for their car and numbers weren't pleasing at all considering the numbers invested.

I am selling the car, but not to vigerously. The car is just posted here and on bimmerforums. I am considering putting it on ebay, and will also be putting it in the local paper here in a week or two. I am in the middle of mid-term exams right now. I have had people offer almost what I want, and to tell you the truth, if they put the money infront of me, I would take it. so, I will probably sell the car soon.
On that note, I will be looking for (most likely) a couple of e30s to replace my car. I need to turn my one car, into 2.

well beside different oil cap location, different intake manifold, and different fuel rail cover they are pretty much the same.

m3s got alumnium oil fiter holder where non-m3 got plastic

My engine is a 325, and my oil filter holder is aluminum.

I don't know, it is from a 1998 320i, and its the european model, if that makes a difference, I donno if the 320i's are same in North America.

I'm pretty sure they were. Only the '92 M50s were non-Vanos, and the 320i wasn't produced that year.
