Beat what other guy? I started modding my E30 in 1993... how old where you then? Were you modding a BMX bike then? I had my enjoyment already for years saving up enough loose change to purchase that next small mod. Not everything comes easy.... I didn't just snap my fingers to make my car look like that.

i with them, i have spent over 20,000 usd to restore an old land cruiser, only to total it and have to buy another to start over. i had a show truck and drove it only 500+/- miles before disaster. now i have a truck designated stricly off road, and will have it entered in many off road events this year. i built it because that is what i do, and enjoy. you can see some of our work and play @ http://www.lcspec.com/ . this is what i've been doing with my life, right out of high school. yeah, i'm only 23 but i do have the passion of building cars, the build is more than half the fun. sweat, blood, and money go into cars. it doesn't take much to drive them. i am starting my side of the company soon, skunk projectz, it will be modifing cars instead of off road trucks. the bimmer has been put on hold untill some money comes in, but it will be soon, like this summer, maybe....who knows. i have more than enough work, expecially since i ran over a boar a while back. jacked the whole front end. this time i will take pics along the way and keep ya'll (its a texas thing) posted. this is my $20,000+ peice of $hit........*shiner*

Randy i think you missed the point! :huh?: All i was saying is that people shold build cars because they enjoy it, not trying to compete with someone! Based on what he said, i quote "there is no point of posting any other pic since no one could beat that" you as a moderator shold lock this thread because we all know your E30 was the best here!

Its all about working hard for what you want and because you worked hard for it you deserve it. The hell with what people say, let them think what they want.

hey, look at my peice of crap, everyone tells me not to waste my time with it. I dont listen because I love this car eventhough it looks the way it looks. I know I have to work really hard to get it the way i want.

oh, p.s. there nothing wrong with modding bicycles. with all my modding, my bike is worth over $5k lol...

All that stuff is on the M20 engine. I don't know how to post pictures. People have posted them on here for me before, the red e30 with the M3 light weight flag decal on the front fender. I use to have the Amsoil stickers on the side of my car. I could e-mail someone some pictures, and they could post them if you guys really wanted to see.

When you reply to a post, just click on "Browse..." under the space where you put your text. It'll open a new window and you can add a picture stored on your computer. Find the pic you want from your files and then click on "Open". It'll be attached to your post. All that's left to do is click "Submit Rely" and you're done.

I don't have much mods done to my car:

BMW 325i M-Tech II

- K&N cone filter
- 40 mm lowered
- complete M-Tech II (modified)
- Leather interieur
- Electric windows
- Electric sun roof
- shaved door handles on all 4 doors

I have stored my car in the garage now, because of the metamorfoses. I have a 323i M20 engine modified for a turbo. I am going to use a Garret T04 or KKK K04 turbo. It is supposed to go up to 300 hp.

old thread I know but I have a question about those M3 antennas.

I've been looking at some antenna options because my antenna is starting to been and I've always disliked the automatic antenna for the E30.

I'm leaning towards that M3 antenna I was wondering what does it take to install one of those on an E30 other than the E30 M3?

Thank's John.I am not sure(I am @ my shop until 5 p.m. on Saturday).Next week I will be taking off complete rear suspension of the car(subframe, trailing arms,diff....)and will be replaced with M-coupe rear suspension(I am currently fabricating parts of the subframe that will alow adjustment of camber & toe @ the rear),at the same time the front brakes will be replaced with e36 M3 discs/calipers/hubs/spindles.I will install custom coil-over suspension @ same time(front camber/caster & toe will be adjustable),which only makes sense because everything will be apart anyhow. If all of this gets done on time I might be there on Sunday.

John, thanks for offering your help.My problem is to fit this job in to my daily schedule(I own a 6 bay shop that is open 6 days a week from 8 am to 6 pm,I also have wife & 6 months old baby). As far as what still has to be done:I have to modify the subframe that is not a bolt on peace(toe/camber are not adjustable on this unit,so that is yet to be done as well),than weighing the car at each corner has to be performed(I don't have scales in my shop so I have to find somebody who does & take my car there to weigh it) than I will be able to determine spring rate.I still have to order coil-overs,after above mentioned work has been done & after I know corner weights on my car. This may not sound like much to you,but my days are only so long.To get to the point where I am now with my car,I have spent a full six months of very long nights with only few hours of sleep a night(this was prior to getting a baby), I just can't do that now.Besides that, running the shop drains you enough and believe me fixing cars is the easiest of all the things involved around the business like this.Anyhow this is my situation @ the moment. So hopefully I will find some time to do all of that, and if I do you will see me on May/24.

Take care

I mean, nice project, but it's nor like he even has seen if an M10 can take the turbo in the way he has it setup...

This is the second version of turbo for this car
The first was when I built it for my wife with a T28 it made 256 rwhp@10lbs boost(I will post pix when I upload them to my site)

With this setup I'm looking for around 350rwkw's@25lbs boost with the gt30-40 or T67 I have under the bench for it I'm not sure what turbo I will use yet it will all depend on driveability

And if your concerned about Lag If you look at the pic below you will see my blue bottle "Antilag" system:P

Surprizing that I never posted in this thread.

Mods list is in my sig, most notable IMO being the complete rebuild from the ground up.

Here are a few pictures.
