Anyone got full specs on the E60 BMW M5??

So thats the only info thats out right now??
I need more specs,im thinking about putting a deposit.
How many valves per cylinder?? DOHC?? Power to weight disturbution?? Compression ratio?? etc. etc.

AFAIK, all the M engines are 4 valves per cylinder with DOHC (on each bank - if it's a V engine)
5 valves per cylinder is not much more efficient as compared to the 4 valves per cylinder engine...

It's pretty much in the development stages now. Or maybe it's "under wraps" so there is no finalized info..

So people are putting on deposits on a car that they dont know about?? thats not right,i guess i'll never be buying a new model car

you can put deposit on it.
when they release full specs, you can take your deposite back if you are not statisfied

The new M5 will have an inline 10
I read in road and track or motor trend (can't remember)
that they were thinking of an inline 12 w/ 750hp
and there was talk of an inline 16 with 1000hp...but who knows what will happen to those ideas

Anything over inline 6's aren't really used for anything other then large boat and train engines. I've seen an old Mercedes with an inline 8 and the front end was huge.

The V10 with 500ish hp is what is in the works at the moment.

Just how are you going to put in an inline 10 engine into any car????? This I got to see....

did i say inline? i meant v-10 with 500 hp
but i remember the article had 750hp and 1000hp engines that bmw was thinking of producing, it was a long time ago though.
maybe im wrong, if i was at home i would dig the magazine out
