I think the general rule of thumb is 25hp/l So if you have a 1.8 50hp shot tops, 150hp shot if it's a 5.7. Thats for stock engines though.

However, if you have a 1.8l and run a 50 shot and blow your head, don't blame me.

I hope those pics didnt scare you guys away from the laughing gas,that guy abused the shit out of his car and was spraying for a while into his stock block.I used to own a foxbody mustang a while ago with a few mods and a 150 shot,no problem!

a) Wet or dry system,
b) Engine type and condition(high miler a no no!!)
c) Set up of the system
d) Way of use

I think on a standard 4Cylinder engine a 50bhp shot is safe, providing the engine is in good condition and the system is set up properly! You could also go for 75 under the right circumstances. But for a nice and reliable car i d stick with 50!
