Hey guys hows everyone doing, I have a question for everyone that knows about this on my 98 328i on the instrument cluster were the oil temp area is it is black i am assuming its a burnt bulb behind it, has anyone ever had experience with this ? anyone know what to do? is it hard to remove the cluster to replace the light? And must the steering wheel be removed to replace the light?? any help or links would be greatly appreciated ! thanks for all your help!

good links & write-ups! A couple of additional notes:

You can leave the battery connected but make sure you do NOT turn the ignition on once the cluster is removed or you WILL have a trip to the dealer to reset the airbag light!

I've pulled mine out with and without the steering wheel in. If I had to do it again, I would pull the wheel first. It takes a bit longer since you have to disconnect the battery and airbag properly without deploying the airbag, but it eliminates the cursing and fighting with the cluster...
