I have a zinnoberot e30 and paint is in far from perfect condition, the previous owners thought it be a good idea to do a home job clear coat and with weather and all it has faded to a disgusting pink with a chipping clear coat.... now i had planned to go black, but my mates (also e30 owners) have jus recently got there rides and both cars are the colours i wanted, black and calypso red, so i am in great need of a colour suggestion....

Can anyone suggest a colour that i should paint my car, and post any pictures you may have.....

by dont however want white red or green

that colour looks like pepto-bismol!

You should consider a deep dark blue. Maybe Orient Blue or even something like Iroc Blue.

You should really think out what your priorities are. Do you have the ca$h to do a colour change?

would you consider a dark grey colour? are you going to pull the engine to do the engine bay? why not repaint it the original red? Im sure it would look hot.

Do it ice-metallic blue. Saw it once on a custom VW Corrado, and another on a Lambo Countach - it's by far the most eye-catching color i've seen.

I think Cinnabar is a very nice color (yeah, I'm biased. :) ) so if I were you, I'd respray it the same color. It's much cheaper than a color change.

If I changed colors, the only one I'd put on my car is the M5 color Le Mans Blue (paint color code 381).

My advice to you is to have an A+++ bodyshop repaint your car if your going to do it black. Black is the most sensitive colour to paint on a car. If the bodywork is not 100% your screwed even if the painter is damn good. Or even vise versa..... If the bodywork is 100% and the painter sucks or is even decent then your car is still screwed! Black is a very delicate colour to work with.

Nissan's Orange
GM's Yellow (Pretty much the same yellow as Nissan)

or... The really cool Honda Titanium color...

I took a few snaps of his paint work the other day.. its pretty sad. I can't see why it would of done this. BMW didn't clearcoat the non-metallic paints on the early e30s did they?

I still reckon.. hmm black.
