OK, who is the real winner here? was the Mustang doing the losers fly-by??? (http://www.orbit3d.com/azmustangs/trentrules/f4ivs03cobra.wmv)

the cbr seems to be winning most of the time.it says the bike was in 6th( most bikes don't accelerate well at low speeds in sixth). Plus it didn't say what gear the car was in. if they were both in top gear then we would see.Seems someone is trying to make their Stang look good.:D

Is that CBR a 600cc bike? If so that would explain why the Mustang was doing ok against it. A Suzuki GSX-R 1000cc would put a whole world of hurt on that Mustang.

But that supercharger shure sounds sweet!!! *mw*

the bike is a 600cc
and if the stang was in 6th also then the bike would have a chance also on the last race

I'm really surprised how well that F4i did against all that HP... I coulda sworn that 'Stang would pull on a 11.5s bike. I personally gave a Yamaha R6 a hard time on the 401 with my E30.

wtf?? 600 just pulls on it.
i raced a couple of bikes at highway speed, and it was nothing like this. they were really slowly pulling away. but this 600 just kills it. i dont get it

A Kenne Bell (KB) powered 2003 Cobra w/ the mods it has (its running higher boost b/c I can tell by the sound of the blower) should theoretically run a high 10 with a slick, mid/low 11 on street tires. A Cobra with an just an intake, a Lightning pulley and a chip will run 12.0 @ 115mph.

Something's funny here?!?!?!

Either the Mustang is not tuned right or that bike is not stock.

There's not much you can do to 600cc bikes unless you go crazy and transplant a 1000cc motor or add a turbo. They have around 105rwHP (+/-5) with a pipe.

bike wet w/rider = 570lbs
rwHP = 107
=5.3lbs/HP

car wet with driver = 3820lbs
rwHP = 542
=7.0lbs/HP

Not much difference here to cause that stang to lag behind THAT much.... especially since they're at speed rolling on when it's mostly HP that dictates. STRANGE.

that was well put, but im just as troubled as everyone else on this one, i though for sure the outcome of all those races would be slightly different.

1 tooth down means that he changed (they don't specify) one of the sprockets on the bike. I'm assuming the front (counter sprocket) to make the bike accelerate quicker (think of it as the gearing system on your mountain bike). 1 tooth down in the front is also equivalent to 3 teeth up in the rear. You knock off about 0.20sec in the quarter and drop your top speed by approx 12km/h.

you might want to check that again.a yamaha r6 has about 135 hp and the new cbr600rr has 145.*uzi*

haha.... yeah right. nice try.

what the manufacturer claims is at the crank (inflated too). I will put money on my figures. Go to any motorcycle shop and just ask what they do at the wheel.... infact, the 600cc sportbike class has a 105rwHP limit for road racing. The only bike that may have marginally more is the Kawasaki's 636 since they can't race it in that class (36cc too much), and even that has 110rwHP. The motorcycle show is on this weekend at the Internation Center Malton, go find out for yourself. I've been riding for nearly 10years, any serious rider knows these facts.

i thought they where allowing the kawaski 636 to compete in races with the 600's because of the extra weight the kaw packs on 600s???

not that I know.. Because of the rules, Kawasaki made 2 versions of the ZX-6R (and ZX-6RR)... one being the 595cc contender.

Nice video, the cobra was getting slaughtered. CBR had to start in the wrong gear for it even to be close :confused:

Anyways, lets have the SUPRA play, I think some of you have seen this vid before.

SUPRA w/HKS 2835 turbos and 272 cams + 70shot
vs.
Suzuki Hayabusa GSXR 1300 "fastest streetbike in the world".
