The E28 does have an M5 in the line up....
I think it's using the M88 engine....

It had the S38, with 286hp. Very similar engine to the one used in the E34 M5.

 The 3.8L in-line 6 ? He was on Mavis near 401. He must drive it all year-round, he had some wide snow tires on some deep dished wheels. *th-up*

E28 M5's were built in 1987 and 1988.There were 2906 of them built for the US and Canada.I believe about 209 or 210 came to Canada. The Canadian M5 had a black exterior and creamy beige leather interior while the US version was black on black. The Americans want our m5's because they are more rare and more collectable. If you want an M5,import a Euro version of this model because it doesn't have the fugly diving board front or rear bumpers making it much lighter and more attractive. It only came in one colour and that is Diamond Swartz Black.Great track car.Ted
