keep in mind the interior was vinyl.....you got a tough choice ahead of you......i think the e30 2.5l is a pretty decent motor.....but extra hp sounds tempting

Honestly though, If you wanted HP you could've not painted the car or bought the kit. You obviously want your car to look good... fix ALL problems (ie. interior) and THEN worry about the HP.

I say go for the interior, your car is fast enaugh to get you tickets*thmbsdwn* And whats the point anyways...race from time to time and show off to some Civic...but you (and everybody looking/sitting in your car) would be enjoing that new interior all the time:D

you should go with some sparco's or vaders :D

What kinda of engine are you going to be swapping to get 250whp? An stock s50 in an e30 doesnt put down those numbers to the wheels.

I would say hp. But if you think that an m20 is fast enough, you dont know what fast is. I think an m20 is good enough, but not "fast."

I am not trying to flame but I dont care for all show and no go. Since you want your car to look agressive, it would be agressive (i.e. HP).

Thats just my opinion (which means nothing).:D

aaron,

lets just say the motor he is questioning wasn't going to be NA...

Well forced induction is a different story. Having the funds for a major engine rebuild/swap plus forced induction is a little different than a completely redone interior. Just based of the money that a friend but into a 3.0l stroker m20, he spent near $9,000usd. If he has that kind of money burning a hole in his pocket, then I say go for the motor.

aaron,

he also works in a shop and already has a motor (not saying which one)....i beleive he also has some of the "main" components...sorry if i am being vague, but this project is kinda on the down low...so it's not necessarliy a huge money draining project...

aaron_silva
11-20-2003, 07:37 PM
No problem about the being vague on the "down low" project.:) Well shit, if he has the motor already, he could throw it in and do the interior. I thought his only options were to get hp or get a new interior. He already has hp, but it is just sitting in the shop.:D

interior is critical, after all you see it every time you drive.

interior first...*th-up*

hp nexto*th-up*

i understand what ur sayin... the one thing holding me back from crazy engine mods is 1. where the hell am i gonna use all that power and 2. i would get ****ed bu cops u have no idea how cops r up here ****ing bullshit i got pulled over cuz the cop didnt beleive that my car was a bmw they have nothing to do but bust balls i could only imagine what would happen if they look under the hood...*shiner*

I was guessing that you would be responsible with the performance gains. Why does anybody do engine mods? Probably because it is a fun project and more power is always fun, even if you stay at the speed limit.

id say do the interior man under the hood no one sees what you have plus power is no good for streets for what tickets then ull lose the bimmer not worth it do the interior !

In T.O., having a sleeper is so good. I didn't ever get pulled over. No problems. Once you start with body kits, rims, lowering etc, cops start to notice you.

you guy's should check out "new image".....that's where windsor and i had ours done.....but if they re-do your carpet, make sure to tell them to PULL OUT the old one....

SebSter

i say go for the swap too.. im the kind of guy who just enjoys the hell out of driving, and you could have a lot more fun with more power to the wheels, especially 250hp on an e30 body thats some considerable speed... plus interior is just eye candy, the fun of driving comes from actually driving not just looking at the car

i dont know, i havent seen the interior so i dunno what kinda shape its in, but unless its completely torn up and everything is at the point where it can tear any second, then i would go for the engine
