the sillverstars are a rip off!!!!

$60 bucks for bulbs that will live less then one year (look in the FAQ on their website "life expectancy up to one year") is a waste of money.

i bought them and put one in and compared to the eurolites that i had in the other light there was absolutely no difference. i could drive like that, one eurolite in on headlight and one silverstar in the other headlight it looked exactly the same.
i returned them the next day and got my money back

I want the Osram silverstars because the the glass part is clear, NOT blue like most of the others......

I know Canadian tire sells silverstars, but i don't think they are made by Osram, i think they are made by another company (Sylvania?), but again i DON"T want my nice Euro Smiley Ellipsoids to have a blue reflection in the lense when the lights are off....i just don't like that.

I was hoping there was a place in Toronto i could pick them up without having to order them on-line, but i guess i will have no other choice.

Thanks for the help guys*wave*

NO!

There is a HUGE difference between the terrible Sylvania and good Osram Silverstar bulbs. Make sure it is actually labeled OSRAM and says nothing about Sylvania on the packaging.

AFAIK, you can't buy the Osrams in any shop even in the States, it's mainly an overseas item. This is the big place selling them: http://suvlights.tripod.com/suvlightscom/html/halogen-h1.htm Note that the Osrams are under the "Clear" category and the Sylvanias are under "Blue".

I am fully aware of that. But the 2 are very different products, you can clearly see that in the link I posted.
