I'm new to this forun but here are some pictures of my 325IX (Sorry I forgot to take a couple of pics of the carbon fiber interior-Next week). I'll post some of my E36 as soon as the rain stops here in NY.

nice, very nice!

Me and MTRD went Joyriding in an IX during the winter, the only problem, was it was night, and we couldnt figure out how to turn the lights on in an E30, people were high beaming us like mad.. Was hella fun though, that AWD is awesome.

Here's one of the supercharger.

Thanks, the AWD is definately my favorite. I also have a 95 325is (3.2L OBDI conversion), it's a hell of a lot faster but the ride is just not the same {You really don't feel the speed in the E36}.

Yeah, the takeoff is one of the best things with this car:cool: . I also have 4.10 gearing front and rear which also helps;) . You usually don't get much more than a chirp and a little squealing "BUT YOU DO GET A WHOLE LOT OF GOOOO!!":D

Nice looking e30! What kind of rims are those enkei?

Thanks. The rims are Enkei RSE (17in). With the AWD offset I was extremely limited on the wheel and tire options.

Nice car... what happened to the wheel arches? I know people that would give their "left nut" for those things!!

I yanked the factory IX skirt kit (Felt it was to squarish and boxy/Just needed a new look). I've owned the car for 6 yrs and after about 4 I got tired of the factory look.

Wow, nice iX you got there, bro!!
*th-up*

For those interested in iX's, I may be selling one soon ... my wife
has an 89 white automatic 4 door iX that screams due to nice performance mods (the mechanic who did the work had told me that it was faster than his 88 M3 ... I believe him).
It is a very nice clean car and the only reason I may be selling it is cuz the wife want a larger family car, esp. for our 2 growing kids.
Would be a sad day for me, as my wallet was used to make this
little bimmer NICE (i.e. lots of $$ spent on upgrades and maintenance).
Oh well, maybe someone on the board will benefit. I may post in the "Selling" section of MaxBimmer once it's ready to go and I have some pics, etc.

Peace,

Ronin

Sounds like a sweet ride RONIN, I'll keep my eyes peeled for a buyer. What exactly does the car have done to the motor to make it so fast?... I HIGHLY doubt it would beat an M3 in any race.... with your weight disadvantage, automatic transmission and all wheel drive friction loss, you need about 250hp just to KEEP UP to the little S14... not likely on a streetable N/A M20 motor unless you dumped $10,000 in mods.
Lets see a detailed mods list... (pics would be nice too)

Hey Randy,

Not nearly as sweet as your ride, dude ... not even close ;-)
However, for a 4 seasons daily driver and an automatic, it is as good as it gets. Wife is already complaining that she will miss all that "power on tap" that she has with her iX.
For more details, I've just posted in the Classified section of MaxBimmer. Pics will come soon, but don't be disappointed when it just looks like a nice clean regular white iX ... it's a "Sleeper"! Check it out.
I've been in an E30 M3 which is 5speed, so it's actually difficult to compare to this modded automatic iX ... they are both good in different ways ... Hell, it's all good!

Peace,

Ronin

Regarding wheels for a 325iX, you actually have many more options than for a regular E30 325. Check TireRack.com to see this. The iX uses a front wheel drive offset, so there are lots of available wheels. The rear drive 325i, is, e, etc. require a low offset and there are very few wheels available in the 4x100 bolt pattern.

Thanks for the compliments guys. The wheels are Enkei RSE's (remember the IX uses fwd offset so "rice" type wheels are what's available:D ).

It's a Powerdyne supercharger currently running 6psi (soon to be bumped to 9psi).

The carbon fiber is the usual aftermarket kit that cover's the console and dash.
