WTF are you talking about. It weighs ~2750.

There's almost nothing in your interior worth taking out. Maybe your passenger seat, and switch out the driver's seat for something light.
In the trunk you can get rid of your factory amp (if you have it), and all the sound deadening. That stuff can be up to like 50 lbs.

In the front: PS, AC, windshield washer resevoir...

Why are you gutting your car?

umm remove A/C about 40-60 lbs total, remove sunroof (weld in steel plate), fiberglass hood fenders and trunk lid, remove all Dynamat, Light weight seats, have underside stripped of rubber coating, remove spare tire and replace gas tank with smaller fuel cell, and the power steering.

that's all i can think of... unless you wanna strip it all down and make a track only car.

even with all the above done, your gonna still weigh about 2600 lbs. unless you wanna swap for a M42 or just turbo your motor and leave all the creature comforts in.

It would help if you took the 900 lb lead weight out of it?

Or try scaleing at a legal scale (truck stop or local dump)
Or scale the car without 5 full grown adults in it.

:huh?:

Maybe take fat bastard out of the trunk.

my car is 3650 stock, there's no way your car can be that heavy.

yeah weird thing it says the same on my door, but after thinking about it i figured out that those measurements are most likely the maximum weight the springs/shocks can support... not actually how much the car weighs..

right?

ACHTUNG!

GVWR = Gross Vehicle Weight Restriction. (Key work is "restriction")

NOT "curb weight", the curb weight is the actuall vehicles weight.. the GVWR is the maximum load or in other words the maximum weight the body and suspension on the car can handle.

I should have known you were thinking this, everyone gets this messed up.

it says it on my bros car too..thats the maximum weight supported for the engine to pull i think

if you want a light E30..take out the whole interior, and put 1 racing seat in there...if not, then leave it as is..strip the trunk, AC, and that should be light enough man...as light as a civic hatch (stock is lighter than 94 civic sedan LX!)
