View Full Version : Re-drilling wheels

Hey, this is my first post here...Im from the late e30sport (RIP :)). I was hoping one of you could help me, I've heard about re-drilling wheels and such. Is it really logical and safe to do? I have an '88 325is with a 4x100 bolt pattern...is it geometrically possible to re-drill a 5x120 wheel to 4x100? because e28/e24/e39/e38 wheels would already have pretty much the proper offset. I can get a set of BBS RS' in 17x8 5x120 really cheap, so I was wondering if I could somehow make this work. Can anyone help me out on this?

That looks like a 5 bolt conversion though. I can't see the 4 bolt. *wave*
You'll have to bring in the wheel and have them look at it. so they can check if it will affect the rigidity/structure of the wheel. Costs here vary from $25-$50 cdn. It's quite a big difference going from 5x120 pattern to 4x100, I don't think it's worth it.
