I talked to that guy on a dutch board a couple times, he has an euro s50b30 engine with the e36 m3 5 speed box in there.
it is a real m3, the same guy also had e30 with e36 alpina engine in it, I`ll post some pics if you want.
here`s more of the m3:

i;m still really not sure if its real or not
i was looking at the pics and i was sure it is e30 m3, then i looked at the text and saw 325i there, i decided to translate it, and it looks like it is a conversion.

Huckle, i don't know if you can read german, but can you verify this?

Rob also said it is not real.

If it were a real m3 i'm sure the guy would have the REAL m3 antenna in the front........It is a fake, but the conversion still looks pretty good!

yeah I can read german, the storie goes like this:
The car left the factory as an 325i 2drs.
One of the former owners desided to make it look like an e30 m3 and used original bmw parts. After that it changed from owner a couple times and the engine have been replaced a couple times too.
When the last owner broke the m20 engine, he got tired of the car. I came across the add of this car with engine failure and because I didn`t liked the interior, the last owner and I made a deal. I would only buy the chassis.
8 months back I bought the car.
First I bought an original cecotto interior to built in. After that I made some black carpet myself, because I excluded the old ones from the buy.
Because the car still had the 325i 4 bolt pattern, I bought a complete e30 m3 suspension, limited slip diff and bigger brakes.
Then the engine, I wanted either an e34 m5 or e36 m3 engine. I chose the e36 m3 s50b30 engine, because I wanted the newer technology. The engine was built in together with the e36 m3 5 speed box. The swap was done completely by myself and took me about 3 months to complete.
Then I bought the rims, it are 9x17 and 10x17 AC Schnitzer 3 parts rims which are polished. The exhaust diameter at the beginning is 55mm, it`s a dublle exhaust with 4 end tips. It`s made by the compant EPS in holland.

extra`s, blablabla

coming winter it`ll get a new paintjob and a rust spot gets taking care of.

Thats a pretty good job to get that E30 M3 trunk deck on a non-M3. I think the only part a real M3 and a non-M3 share is the sunroof panel.

Hi,

I concur with Bart. I also know the owner of this beautifull car.

This really is a 325 2 doors with the M3 body kit, but the body kit is polyester, so I heard. So the car is lighter than an orginal M3.

Regards,

Bastiaan

Er ist durch einer der vorbesitzerer umgebaut auf M3 mit original bmw blechtteile.

I don`t think it`s polyester, it`s the same as any other e30 m3, unless he made a typo
blechteile = metalparts (the sort of metal they use for cars, don`t know the english word. it`s not aluminium either)

eh huckle you think maybe he means fiberglass?????? that would make sense why its lighter than the real one

huckle

no it`s not fibreglass. It`s the standard metal they use for e30 m3. It`s not lighter as a regular m3.

wow.. that's an amzing conversion... I still find it hard to believe it's a real one because the rear windows, trunk, and so much more would have to be converted and it would cost more to do all of that work than to just buy a real M3.
