I had my car at the shop today to do a fuel pump swap and i after they lifted it we spun the tires and in the back they both spun the same direction. My mechanic was surprised too that this car had posi. How can this be..?

car is a 1986 325es

isn't POSI TRAC or something like what GM calls their LSD's?!?!
I think its just called a LSD for out cars!
and i BELIEVE that because your car is an eS model that S means it has a sports package on it, meaning LSD and other things, RIGHT?!

yea posi is muscle cars pretty much...limited slip is what we have. i was wondering why it didn't feel like my old eta

Posi-trac and LSD are the same thing, like Kleenex and a tissue, Velcro and a hook and loop fastiner, windex and glass cleaner. Posi-trac is just a GM trademark that became a household name.

YA probably, but then you'll get some POOR ass company like HYUNDAI, and they'll be too poor to buy a name like SMG, so they'll name it something DUMB, like PADDLE SHIFTERS or something!
