View Full Version : To debadge or not?

What's everyone's opinion on debadging? I can't decide whether or not to debadge my 328is, I like the slick look, and everyone gives me mixed reactions, "it looks better" or "you shouldn't debadge a 328is.." *shrug*

What are your opinions?

Take it off. The letters come off easily. I used a credit card.

True...I know how to take it off, was just trying to debate whether or not TO take it off :)

Im not big on it. When I see it I think that someone bought a 323 and they are trying to pass off as something else, even though there are other clues on the car as to the model, but I still think that.

my car looks way nicer now that its debadged

makes the back look way cleaner... do what looks nicer. most people dont know the difference between a 323i and a m3, so dont worry

and if they do, they should be able to tell from the trim what model it is :)

True. Don't really care what anyone thinks anyway, gonna buy some of that googone stuff this weekend and heat it up and take it off with some floss, unless there's an easier way.

Debadge *th-up*

Rebadge *thmbsdwn*

I really hate seeing a 318 posing as an M:mad: My opinion only.

i had mine half off so i took it completely off and i think it looks better on mine.

this was funny last thursday i was on Dundas and Spadina, there was a BMW waiting on the light and on the back it had a badge shows ///M 325i .... interesting add on badge ...

I'd personally debadge it. In your case, do what YOU think is nicer! Who cares what anyone else thinks!

09-11-2003, 12:25 PM
my opinion is i think you shouldn't debadge it. cause i know people with 318's who debadge it so people don't know it's a 318. so people may think yours is a 318 since it's debadged.

09-11-2003, 02:34 PM
Oh well, don't really care what people on the street think, if they want to find out, they can step up to the line :)

Gonna debadge her this weekend :)

debadging looks sooo much nicer.
both my cars were debadged within the first 10 mins of owning them :)

09-13-2003, 09:50 PM
Done :D

Now for the clear tails..

Debadging is fine and it does look alot sleaker, but its annoying when theres an M on a 3series or even worse a Toyota.

It really comes to something when BMW copies Toyota.

I watched Tommy Kendal's test drive of the new 5 series (Camry) and both he and Hans Stuck seemed to like it pretty much so I guess it still drives like a 5'er*th-up*

The clean look is nice & I've been told that it's a factory option.
