Is the bass good ??

I recently bought 2 12w1 in a sealed case and the guys also sold me amp he was using with them for 75 $ more. But I doubt it's a good one, it's a boss AVA 555 (4ohm stable and 400w max). I bought it because I was sure it was gonna be ok with the subs, and the price was ok (He was asking 120 $ but I got him down to 75$ because I bought it with the woofers).

The problem is that I bought the setup because I taught the deal was really good, but I didn't buy my car yet (I will probably have it at the end of the month) so I can't try them for now ! (I know it looks kind of idiot to buy subs before buying the car)

What do you think of that setup ?

I heard that if I setup the amp on half the ohm it's suppose to run on, it would sound great, is it true ? Would it be dangerous for my subs ?

To drop the ohms down, to bridge the ohm to a 2 ohm mono configuration or so. But I would need a 8 or 4 guage wire in and out the amp.

That's only something I heard, I don't actually know car audio pretty well. I was just wondering if it would be right.

No problem!
I hooked them up to my legacy 800watt amp for now anyway just to test them out, and they sound AWSOME. I can feel everything in my car vibrate hehe. In fact, the doors and windows on my house were vibrating too. I need some dynomat BADLY!
