I am in the market for a new BMW to replace my IS300. I wouldn't mind getting some competitive pricing so anyone who has bought a new one lately or who knows a good dealer let me know.

Budds, ha ha, they suck some serious ass. They destroyed my fathers old 328 cab. Half the engined had to be rebuilt. Their parts department is over priced aswell. I have priced around several times and Budd's was always more. Mississausga BMW sucks also. The only good experince I have had is Parkview and Downtown BMW.

Autohaus and T&C service both suck, hard... parts O.K. at both, prefer T&C. Purchasing, probably downtown, but T&C seemed good. Auyto sucked.

When I bought my BMW, went to 5 dealerships before I bought my BMW at Performance BMW in St. Catherines.
They are the only BMW dealership that treated us like customers buying a 50G+ car.

Wouldn't buy any other BMW form anywhere else.

i'm not talking about service because i live in windsor, I am just talking about buying the car...was wondering if autohaus was any good? in sales, or do they smerk when they see a E36 like some do

tlaselva, I had the exact thing happen to me. One salesman in Markem Laughed when I asked how much the car was iff I paid cash. But the guy at Performance bmw said if I drove down to see the car that he would take $2000 off the price. Needless to say I drove my new e46 328ci buy the other salesman later that week*th-up*

Glad to hear were not the only ones who seems to find most BMW dealerships with the attitude 'It's a privledge to buy a BMW from us...'.
All these Toronto Area BMW dealership's can kiss my a**.

I'll gladly drive to St. Catherines for any future BMW purchases.
They've always treated us as privledged customers.
The way you expect to be treated when your in a retail outlet purchasing a high end car.
(Was just there last weekend for an X5 test drive.....;) )

I recommend Downtown BMW or wait till October when they move into the new facility. On the other hand, they are trying to move their inventory now before moving into a new facility, so you may get a good deal. Most of the staff from Downtown BMW are moving to new facility.

I got $3500 discount off 2003 330Ci last Fall there but they made me pay Freight this time ($1200). This was a combination of $1500 from dealerhip and $2000 discount from BMW Canada.

By the way, I remember calling Budds when purchasing my 1st Bimmer (E46 328Ci 2000 in Summer of '99). They offered me a "Value pricing" ... when I asked what is "value pricing" they told me it is FULL MSRP with NO discount or any free goodies what's so ever.

Yes, E46 coupes were HOT back then since the "new" E46 shape had just started production in June 1999, but still. At the end, I got one from Downtown BMW, paid full MSRP for 328Ci (2000) BUT they removed Freight/PDI so that was $1200 discount or about 3%.

P.S. The problem is that to us, we are buying a $50,000+ car but to the dealership/salesman it is only $5000 profit / car. Plus since 1999, BMW reduced salesman commission from about 12% to 9% to pay/invest into more advertising and building of these new mega dealerships; reduced commission was confirmed on BMW US and Canadian forums.

I checked every dealership in the GTA before buying my car. I went in a pair of ripped jogging pants, old sneakers and labatt's blue t-shirt to see how the sales person would respond.

Almost all were surprisingly good. I didn't get much of a discount as it was a cabrio and ended up going with Downtown as it was the closest.

I would suggest you check them all out if you want something very specific. If picking something in stock, Downtown would probably give you the best price given their relocation next month.

Be carefully here cause I know of people that work for autohaus and them, so I'm sure they will plug there dealer over others....just go to them all, ask to test drive 3 cars at each lot, see which one is leasted ticked off and go from there *th-up*
