I'm going to paint my new e30 since the paint is shit. While I'm at it I'm going to be doing some body work.

I want to graft some e36 tails into the rear since there is so much more aftermarket support out there. Possibly another BMW if theres any that would look decent. My uncle owns a custom paint and body shop so I'll be doing this there with his help.

My question is does anyone have any pics of this? Or can someone photoshop me a pic? I was thinking of the e36 red /clear or the e36 blackedout altezza lights, or maybe some e34 ones without the center piece.

ask Jeremy, he wanted to do that, and it looked pretty bad IMO.

Zimmie, whats the best way to do this? I was going to use a cutting disc to cut out the right space, and then tack weld some 22g steel to fill in the rest. Then just sand, prime, and paint.

i dunno....i'm just guessing.......i figure you would have to weld in some custom brackets, do some fiberglass work and re-paint the rear....if you find a place for cheap, let me know....maybe we should ask some civic guys with tail swaps ?

yup love to know what they pay cause when your car is worth 3gs i dont think mods with labor like that is justifyable, actually its probably 10 times more for us cause we drive beemers

i think with the civics and shit its done so often that its not really custom anymore....so it probably wouldnt cost too much....but for us, i dont think any e30 in N.A has this done. so it WILL probably be nuts in cost....maybe we can get a group buy going....i would love to have all the options for tails that the e36'ers do !

I think the E36 tail-lamp conversion looks VERY nice! The car in the picture is :puke: , but that light conversion is soooo clean looking. Do it!!

This kind of stuff is extremely expensive. I dont know exactly how much on tail lights but a shop around here charges $500 for shaved door handles plus an extra $150 for the electronic door poppers. Shaving door handles is way easier than conversions.

thats not bad, i would mind shaving hands for that much, does that include repainting the doors?

If I had the money, I would spend it on doing that, I think it looks really good on the E30, along with scissor doors baby, oh yeah.

Nope, thats just shaving, no primer either. That's for 2 doors, and it's in usd.
