Ok i want to sel my car but i dont wanna nd up with a pos

I'll have like 9K Cash to Play with

I want to drive some sort of bmw.

I cant decide weither to commit to a 2000 323ci with 9K down and some rate......

or to just buy another e36, possibly cabrio manual.........

What would you do?

bro this is my same dilemma. I've been looking at e36 cabrios, but I've found that they are mostly in really poor condition or are asking for way too much cash.

Right now I'm looking to get a 325IS or 325I. I've been test driving a bunch of 318is and I find them way too wimpy.

Anyways... in your case I would probably say that its worth for you to put the 9k down towards some sort of e46. Otherwise its not really worth your time to sell your car and go through all that hassel to end up with another e36. Like I sold my civic just so I could get a bmw e36. In another year or two if I sell this e36, I would only do so to upgrade to a m3 or e46. Trading laterally is not worth your time.

yup that's the problem with cabrios if you find a really good used one it'll be alot of money and the no good one is too much money for it. my thought was to get really cheap good condition E36 than do it according to your liking and when you want to sell it later you can always part it.
shamis don't commit to anything untill you actually got it and like it.... always think like you're going to sell when you got it so you look carefully and never get stuck with it. yes make sure it's manual, and low mileage or KM and the cheapest you can get it.
good luck .... .... oh ya make sure it's a lucky car this time ....lol ...

Damn right....It's better to drive E36 and it's paid off.
Besides You can sleep between your girls legs all day better then getting ready early morning to work to pay off the car.:D *th-up*

that was toss up between 330xi, outback, and the audi s4:
car & driver competition test result was: #1 audi s4, follow neck to neck #2 outback, far last #3 330xi.
the audi was 70000
the outback 42000
the 330xi 50000

i was at bmw mississauga last week to get more parts for my E36 and just happen to talk to the sales manager, he said to me ... we take subaru for trade in .. i told him give me 2 years then i'll be back for the 330xi .... perhaps by then they'll improve much better than the one today ....

why don't you look at E34 M5s, I sure you can find a good one for about $18,000. Do some maintance and you'll have a nice unique bimmer. I don't think anyone on max has an E34 M5

but the old m5's are very expensive on parts maintence.

Spend your money wisely, maybe an E36 M3 that would be good. But for 9G's you could get a 94 318 or something. Don't end up like these kids in my town where they spend ALL of there paychecks on there cars, it's not worth it, some of them don't have time to drive them cause they book overtime to make the payments on these things. What's the point?? Go with an E36 325is, pretty cheap and they have balls.

Yea - you can get a lot of car for $9k.

Personally I think your sights are waaay too high, besides as others have pointed out you don't want to be in a situation where you car owns you, instead of the other way 'round.

I work 10 a.m - 4:00 p.m daily, plus 10:00a.m - 6:00p.m Saturday, and I have plenty of time and money left over for other things, yet can still pay for my E46.

If you could get a steady job, I'd go for the E46.
