Kinda went too fast yesterday night around the turn....

My all seasons skidded on the road and my shitty brakes couldn't stop them so...I nailed the curb

your allignment is goen to probably. jsut watch out you might have ****ed up your control arm etc...

at least you had steelies on and not nice rims

08-04-2003, 09:39 PM
Well, if its your rear tire then its not so bad, just get a new rim, at least those look like cheaper rims, if that is your front, then yeah, get her up on a hoist and take a look at the control arms and what not, make sure she's ok. *th-up*

I got this kinda nasty cut here in the sidewall.. and with the bent rim like that I guess I'll have to go to my mechanic tomorrow to change them...

I have a question, is it OK to interchange brands if the size & dimensions of the tire are the same?? thanks.

Tire: Primera R/S Touring Radials P185/65R15/86T M+S

I was going maybe 30 km/h around the turn. Control arms? shit....how much are those? Maybe Bry can hook me up....

(yes it is my front wheel)

I got a set of used control arms for prett cheap from another user once, they were mint, if you obviously buy new from the dealer there pretty damn pricy man......

I did the same in my Mini once. Luckily the rim was repairable, but the control arm and something else had to be replaced, ended up costing me about $450 CAD.

Nah, my control arm seems to be fine, I tried to move it, but it seems sturdy.

I wasn't going that fast...plus, the road was wet.

sorry to hear that ...

but atleast now u have a good reason to get rims!

08-05-2003, 02:53 PM
Shit, That really sucks hope you get it fixed.

08-05-2003, 05:55 PM
Yeah... hopefully I'm getting new rims next week...

BUT... my control arm is bent and they can't straighten it out.. What should I do?

Brand New = $200-250

Used - $100...

hmmmm..... I got my spare installed for the time being.

hahaha... yeah... man my first time really sucked

I have all seasons, and I kept hitting the gas instead of slowing down, that is the reason.

Ouch, but it doesn't look too bad. I've got rims if you want to replace them. ;)

it is pretty bad... when I said I think I hit the curb at 30 km/h my mechanic laughed... lol

I am so broke now though.. I wanted to fix the brakes but I guess I'll have to ride them out. :(

OK guys... went to Chuck's.. they are great! I got a used control arm + new ball joint for $200! the control arm seemed good, w/no rust on it.

is the bushing supposed to wiggle in the end?....... or maybe I was on drugs...
