hey all*wave*

what would you rather put on your e36 m3? Turbo or supercharger?

I'd 'rather' put a turbo on an E36, but I chose to go the supercharger route because it's less expensive. The gains aren't scalable by much like with a turbo setup, but it's enough for me.

It really depends what you're going to use it for.

Both setups will give different driving characteristics. As I've sat in both setups before, the Turbo setup gives you that nice feeling of torque when boost kicks in while for supercharge, in most cases a centrifugal for the E36 M3's, it's more linearly delivery of power, thus lacking the big torque feeling you get from the turbo setup.

Well the AA Stage I will run you about $10,000 USD, that alone would give you approximately just shy of 400hp

that's what I was thinking too, he's gotta be using NOS to get up to 775hp. Even so though, do you really think anyone is stupid enough to put their boost up to full, and use NOS at the same time with an e36? Unless the engine was built from the ground up, I hardly believe nitrous is ever going to be used.
Maybe I should install a 100shot of nitrous on my car when it's finished so I can say I have 400hp :D

I honestly think Nitrous is not a good idea....not good for the engine and dangerous

my opinion

It have been discussed at the swedish bmwforum, on how much a s50 motor can put out. A guy that owns a e21 turbo that runs low 9 on the 1/4mile, wrote that if he builds a s50 motor with turbo, he would not be saticfied with anyting under 1000 hp (no nitrous). And i guess that he knows what he is talking about. 500-600 hp if you use it every day.

By the way, a s50 turbo-motor would be nice in a e30

im pretty sure it is built because its so much HP ...nitrous actually creates a cooling affect as well when combined with boost
