Trying to decide which rotors to get, and I saw powerstop today (made by Brembo) and they looked AWESOME. Just wondering if anybody had any experience with them. I also bought Hawk HPS pads..............post your opinions!

I have Powerslot rotors on my E30 and I like them alot. I also have Brembo X-drilled on my 2002 and noticed a slight improvment over the stock solid & non-vented rotors (I guess anything would be better that those).

If you are going for looks then X-drilled is where it's at!

Good to hear you went with Brembo,

I've had both the Brembo cross drilled and Powerstop (I believe they use brembo solids to start) and from my experience the Brembo are much better.

Both provide the same cooling and feel, but my brembo's lasted 3 years before the hair line cracks started from the wholes. While my Powerstop lasted 4-6 months before the hair line cracks started. This is with both track use and day to day driving.
My two cents.

Thanks addbhp.............ya my car will never see the track so I'm sure everything's cool anyways.

SOLDOMATIC 325: I'll let you know, they go on tonight.......I have heard nothing but great things about these pads........everyone that has them, loves them. I can't wait!! I'll post pics and my thoughts later tonight!

i'm sure they're great pads, but i need some solid pads for track purposes, but for daily driving as well!

Then HPS are your pads.........NOT HP, HPS........they say right on the box that they are for street use and autocross use.........the HP's are just for street. I got them on tonight, but I have to wait at least 200kms before I can do any hard braking. So I'll post some pics and let everyone know in a bit!

i never understand that, it doesn't make sense, cause what does mileage have to do with wearing in the pads, i mean what if you drive 200km without braking once, or drive 200km braking lightly 20 times, can someone explain this, and whats the price tag on a set of HPS?!

I got my pads for about 150 for the front pair and 140 for the rear pair...............that's just rough though..........Oh, and the brakes are GREAT, I love them..........car stops sooooo much faster now, and pedal feel is greatly increased. I am really pleased with the whole setup!! Even braking pretty hard from 200+kms there is no steering wheel shutter and the car just stops, it's awesome. What a good purchase!!!

damn, if you could get their number it would be greatly appreciated, and you wouldn't happen to know anything about the PRICE on the pagids?!
Also, did you have to BREAK in the rotors?!

UPDATE: THESE BRAKES RULE. They stop SO fast it's not funny!! I have to check my tire pressures because they squeel now if you hit the brakes hard the damn things bite so hard! No ABS kicking in or anything, just squeeling a little bit. I think they are a little low though. The only thing I'm not pleased with is they squeek too much, but I guess it's because I haven't even put 400 kms on them yet. Either way, I'll keep everybody posted.

*sad* NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

thats one of the reasons why i'm replaing my brake system, and why they squeel?!
Did you break in the pads like your suposed to?!

Well I have only put about 350kms on them, so the pads haven't really been used that much. I'm really hoping it goes away, but only time will tell.

You really have to be weary about crossed drilled rotors becase during the drilling process, alot of rotors develop hairline cracks that could eventually desengrate during a really hard brake. Slotted are more reliable in that regard. Not saying slotted are better stoppers but I would feel alot better knowing that if I were slowing down from a 120 mph run my brakes work insted of becoming sand.

I need some good pads myself. I had PAGID=no squeel but mad dust, switched to PBR=no dust but mad squeel. If you guys find the balance please let me know.
