i call the guy at Ground control, and his telling me all this BULL, and then he goes, yea the suspenion lower the car 2" and someone told me it lowers 2.75", and that its soooooooooooo stiff, and its worthless to use it unless im tracking the car, and also on top of that he tells me that it has to be welded to the perch. So im going soooooooooooooo crazy now, dunno what to do, i mean i DO NOT CARE about tracking my car, i jsut want something that will SLAMM the car, possibly as low as 3.5" but what kind of coilovers would i use. JEREMEY and RANDY PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEE HELP

you could go with a kw setup 80mm fr, 60mm rear http://motronixmotorsports.com they are quite expensive though...

h&r coilovers will only drop you 2" max fr and 1.6" max rear...

fk will give you up to a 85MM drop...

i beleive you can get a 3" drop with the obx setup (not sure though).

thats the coilover route.....i wouldnt wanna drop that much on just springs....for what you wanna do, i think you'll need the adjustability...

hope this helps

o great if he had that setup i can ask him what the ride felt like, i dont want no bouncy riced out ride, and i dont want it 2 stiff, but i want to be able to slam it at a show, and still have about 2.5" for daily driving

hey jer i just talked to my friend who is a mechanic and he told me the installation for the OBX is way to ****ed up, and if not done properly can mess up my entire suspension, so i guess i will be going with GC's after all, i will order them first thing tommor morning

all you need really is the adjustable threaded bodies and upper spring perches (regardless of brand -- they're all the same) The secret is in the spring size and rate. So, that said.... buy a kit and install it on the strut housing (weld, torch etc..) Now that the basics are done, you can guy any EIBACH ERS race spring to fit those adjustable perches. There is much info on the net regarding what spring rate to choose for what height spring and how heavy your car is.... the biggest problem you'll run into it finding a shock short enough to offer travel once you're sitting 3" below stock location. That's why the KW's are the best way to go since they make a shorter shock for the kit.

randy can you give me an idea of exactly how easy/complecated the install of the obx coilovers is? i mean can i get a set of instructs, print it off, give it to a shop, and have them install without screwing anything up?

Nope, I haven't had time to yet. The reason I bought them is based on Randy's opinion.

He had the Ground Controls and OBX and he said the OBX was a better ride.
