Ok, so heres the deal, I want to limit myself to $8000 to spend, now what car should I buy? I mean, I liked my e30, but I also like the 5er style that Julian has, I dunno, what year is best for these? Could I hear some opinions on what to get, just to get a lemon year on these cars, let me know, thanks.*th-up*

Well ive been looking into some e34's lately, and ive come up with the verdict that they rape you in insurance and gas!

I checked the insurance for myself on the E34's, its not too bad, and gas is cheap out here, so that doesn't bother me much, just a reliability issue with me, I just want to know if they hold up well.. I'm more thank likely definatly going to go E34, so I just want to know which one is the best to get, for around $8000 at the most.

That E34 is a bit too much cuz of the mileage
But the condition and the interior sound good :P

how about 1992-1993 e36 around 140k to 180k km from www.autotrader.ca but stay away from collection auto dealer.
cheaper insurance than e30.

216 ks is nothing for the mighty i6 especially if the car was pampered. my car had 330 k with a rebuilt(unnecessary abuse) If the car was not abused it could do 300 000 EASY! my dads volvo just hit the 330 mark, and its a 4 cyl, AND has never had a rebuilt.
Go for it if u can affod it.

A well taken car of bimmer can take about 500000km. Mine has 185000miles (about 300000km).

Yeah I might be able to sell the E36 without rims for $9000 if you want it. Engine still purrs like a kitten. No tick tick tick from the lifters like on some cars.

yea that thing looks great. I even thought at one point fly up there and pick the thing up if the business is decent. I heard some rumours about them.

Although if I had bought the thing, it would go back to black color but for that price, it is not a miss if in OK mech condition.

GO with a E34....I was driven at Terry's car and it goes nuts(5 series are nice)

...Beside All that imagine if I were at E34 540i .....LiiiiiiiiLiiiiiii

Back home they used to say when you buy a 7 er and 5 series ,that means you own A bimmer....not like 318....320

If you come over nice 1995 540I 6 speed I think You are not gonna be wondreding whey they wanna 20g for it.....
That says it all....

*angel* tick tick tick.............. that would be MY CAR!!!!
Those lifters beat the shit outta eacother cause they're DAMN NOISY!!! But i'm sure all the tracking my car does has NOTHING to do with the lifters, any way to fix it without replacing the lifters?!

BTW, sorry for going off topic, but for the money you have to spend i would go for an E36, and a private sale is good especially when you somehwat know the person your buying from (HINT HINT, ADAM, you know hes car was not beaten!), also, an E36 is still a modern look as opposed to a E34 so i would jump on that too cause it is technically NEWER since it the E36 was made till 98!
