damn this is tight, hartge dropped an M5 engine into the Z4, which will output 400HP.
It has been mentioned that BMW has already been there, done that
rumors are it will be the MZ4

Hartge is the leading tuner for doing m5 engine swaps, they can stick one into almost any bmw model including Z3s, ti's, and even range rovers

Considering that production of the S62 is being stopped at the end of this month, I highly doubt that there will be any factory effort (MZ4) like you said.

The MZ4 mules running around northern europe all seem to have the S54 in them, reportedly.

There most probably are driveline differences on the 2. The Z8 ran a 3.15 LSD ration, while the Z4 is probably something taller w/o LSD.

yeah I know, but ACS is pretty expensive, and I do have a social live and that costs money as wel :P

but the rear-end of Hartge kicks ass, maybe over a couple of months...*th-up*
