View Full Version : Could It Be The Tranny

Just was wondering if anyone else experienced this problem. Whenever I am in a low rpm say 50km/h in 4th or 5th gear and I give my car gas ( more then half throttle ) without downshifting I get a jerking forward motion. Only happens at low rpms though almost all the time. Any idea what it could be? I have already switched the fluids to synthetics through the entire car.

i have that too, but in more ranges then you do. i assume it might be the flywheel....

If that is the case no problem case I am doing an engine swap next year but if it is the tranny then I will have to switch that up as well. Any experts out there that can shed some light on this

Could just be the mounts.

if your going slow in a high gear and floor it you could be getting more gas then air and the mixture would be wrong plus thats a lot more stress on the enging then being in a low gear and gasing it
try going slow in say 3rd gear then gas it see what happens
when was the last time you changed the air filter or cleaned it the motor could be starving for air
like you said could be a million things

auto or std.

are you serious?
the reason you get a vibrating and bogging feeling is b.c you are in a higher gear and the car is not getting enough gas and is going to stall...

Check your flexshaft/guibo just after the tranny on the driveshaft, those are known to go after a while.
