Ant the time was 6.90.. is the good.??*sleep*
It's a saloon,(4-door), 5-speed , with an air intake, open exaused, and a RDI chip.
with ca.131000miles on it. or 218000km.*th-up*

That's not bad, it's 5 speed right? Stock time for a 5 speed is around 7 seconds and auto is 8 seconds. If you get a really good launch I think you can get just below 7 :)

I killed the stock times on my car. Supposed to be 10 seconds and I got 8.8 in stock form. Now I have no idea what it runs.

Well quite moderate. Just all the usual bolt-ons. For BMW it takes quite a bit of time and money. So I'm getting there, slowly but surely.

I have no idea, but I doubt it. The 318's restriction is not in the exhaust system. The next thing I'm going to do is make the intake ports larger and swap out a larger intake manifold. The 318's exhaust manifolds are already very good. But I hate the intake manifold. It's very restrictive. Extrude honing it will give you an extra 8RWHP as I've heard.

I have always suspected to E36 318i to be faster to 60 than 10sec , I remember when my dad had his it use to keep by and even beat cars with much lower 0-60's for example the older Jetta V5 2.3 (on 2 occasions)

I wonder how they test the 0-60's at BMW. They probably granny shift and waste at least a second inbetween shifts. It's funny because people who buy fast cars assume that they will automatically go fast. I know a guy with an E36 M3 who ran 16.8 seconds 1/4 mile at the Cayuga drag strip, funniest shit ever. After that he sold his car and got a MB C36 auto. :D
