If you could mix-and-match ANY engine parts, what kind of engine would you build?

Would you use a Z3 Aluminum block or 3.2L Euro M3 block or use a 350 small block???? what head? internals? BMW parts? Porsche parts? what?!?

Im just curious to see what you guys think the ultimate engine would be.

The only rules are that the engine must be NA... NO TURBO, SUPERCHARGER, OR NAWZZZZZZZ...

bonus points for utilizing some BMW parts & some other manufacturer parts + compatible with ANY 6-speed Tranny + while no FI is allowed, bonus points if it is CAPABLE OF HANDLING BOOST!
and for arguments sake, we'll say the engine is being built for an E30

Let the games begin...

hmmmmmmmm, VERY INTERESTING question, off the top of my head, i'd go with HONDA when it comes to frankenstein, its just so easy to work with, and the power is very impressive, they can probably have the HIGHEST compression, by far, hmmmmm, lets see, i'd probably just mix and match a buncha B series engine parts type r pistons, cams, on a integra RS block, with a GSR head!
Miguel, what about you?

i would get 89 civic hatch.. and do a crv bottom end and type r head with everything done to it..or a lude 2-2 bottom and a sir head... seen it done its ****ing crazy!!!!*th-up*

b18 block, b16a head, civic type r intake cam, 'teg type r exhust cam

200hp, and it'll squeeze a 75 shot no problem
wont be too heavy for the civics like the crv & lude motors either. Plus the lude motor hangs real low.

I have no idea what I would build... OR what can be physically matched up!

but you guys would SERIOUSLY build a Honda engine and dump it in an E30?!?

I'm hoping to see some more interesting porsche/BMW match-ups...

all I know right now is hondas. I wouldnt put in in an e30, but if you gave me the cash to build a motor, thats what I'd build and put it in a 2g CRX. some sway bars and shocks/springs, and we're off to the track.
