Great event, I had a ton of fun in the Civic! Can't wait for the next one and I'll see how much faster I can push my 94 hp and 155/80/13 tires ;). I was able squeeze out a 1:20.7 + 2 seconds, I really need some more seat time!

I think everyone at the stop box shit their pants when you went through there sideways!

Sorry about that! Found the limit of those tires on that run! There is a very fine line between slipping and gripping on those tires, finding that line got me from a 1:27 down to a 1:20.7 + 2 second penalty. My next run was a lot smoother coming in, but damn it's a fine line between "sweet!" and "whoa!"

Lol, no worries at all! I was just poking fun, I love seeing fwd cars get sideways

Course layout was nice, would have loved more then the one run I got it

Rear brake caliper piston wouldn't go back into the caliper and locked everything up. Will have the brakes touched up and ready for mosport DDT event.

Was the exhaust to loud???

It wasn't too bad.

The exhaust was loud, but not too bad at all in my opinion. The course layout was great though, the curved slalom was cool.

HELLL NO!!!!!
Sorry don't mean to yell just getting my hearing back.
No it wasn't that loud. Sounded nice, gave it a racetrack ambiance.
Nice track layout if only I could've found my way around it once would have been nice.

I missed the track walk but rode with people until I had it figured out. Don't hesitate to ride with someone if you need to learn the track.

Very close results with most within 10%.

Is there an easy way to compare times between vehicles in different classes? A general rule of thumb comparing a stock car like mine to a more prepped one? Where are the classifications listed? I'm not seeing them.

What happened to waiting for Randy to reclass the cars, the spread sheet says I am in a black 325 in DSP???

Not that it makes much of a difference for me, as I had a locked caliper lining up for the second run and couldn't fix it, but I know other people may have new cars or their car class may have changed due to modifications over the winter.

jabela

Dan Bertoja did the classification from the entry sheets everyone provided. He does them for Randy too.

What car were you driving? I didn't notice anyone leaving when I did, thought I was the only one heading out so soon lol.

And thanks. Had I know, I would've opened it up a bit :D

Hi Rich...
what class were you going for?

Stock Class... basically you can only do shocks, one sway bar, OEM bushings, lighter rims that are the same size as OEM. R-comp tires are allowed.

Street Touring Classes... mainly lots of suspension mods allowed here. But body and engine basically remain stock... so cant take out the interior panels or seats. And pollution control along with OEM cat must be present. R-comp tires not allowed.

Street Prepared... is similar to ST class... but any size rim and R-comp tires are allowed... allows pollution control to be removed incl cats. Seats may be replaced but must have the same number of seats as OEM. also interior panels and dash must be retained. Airbags may be removed. No change to boost in boosted cars.

Lol I had no idea. I do recall overtaking someone after making that left onto Kennedy. I really gave it everything on the on ramp. That tunnel from Derry to 410N is insane!

I was not building the car to fit a specific class, it's a track rat I've built to have fun with, the car only has strait pipe exhaust, a front sway bar from a convertible e30, solid motor and transmission mounts, and gutted interior

Plus it's a white car, so not sure if I'm being hit by my old black 325is e36 which had m3 suspension, cold air intake, aftermarket exhaust, poly suspension bushings, ssk, front and rear strut bars and some other things.

Not building your car with a specific class in mind will put you at a disadvantage... class wise.

The cars are classed from the current tech sheets handed in that day... car color doesn't matter.
:)
If you are just having fun with it... your good to go. *wiggle*
If your want to be in a more competitive class I would suggest making the best use of the allowable mods in a particular class of your choose.

For maximum fun... Get the rule book out along with the wrenches.
:D

If I'm already is DSP, I don't think there is much I can not do and still be in that class.
