Okay, LONG story short, I am thinking of doing an M3 engine swap on my car (E36 323is), and I was just wondering how much do you guys think I could pick one up for? I am looking for something under 100,000kms and that's pretty much it. Of course I want everything needed to do the swap included (whatever parts that may be). I really don't have much info on what these things go for or anything, but I work for BMW so the installation will cost me hardly anything, which is a BIG reason why I am thinking of doing this. So any info would be great thanks in advance,

Brad

Budget $15,000 Canadian for the project.

i dont think there will be as much involved for a swap into a e36....as long as you dont convert to obdI......i'd say you need 8,000.00 canadian tops for the motor as for misc parts to do the swap, i dont know....i would think the tranny would bolt up and i don't think you would need to change the headers or oil pan....you will probably need to change you exhaust and beef up your clutch though....

hope this helps

If your looking for a motor...I have an e36 m3 motor for sale. I have all the trimmings as well; 5-speed tranny, drive shaft, a/c pump, power steering pump, alternator, engine wiring harness, ECU, etc. I can do ALOT better than the prices quoted above. PM me if your interested.

It's not bad man unfortuneately it's the only chip we have for our cars. I noticed a throttle response improvement bigtime, and it's nicer in the high range rpms. PLUS you get a lil bit better fuel mileage, but not really because once it's in you are always goin WOT.........lol. I got mine for just over $750 installed.

it costs $8,000 installed for a 64km engine... $10,500 installed for a 35km engine.

That includes all labour, and you keep your old engine. M3 brakes, tranny, clutch are all extra of course. m3 engine, you really should upgrade to M3 brakes too...

These are CDN prices of course.

Take care!
