1988 BMW 325iS, 346,000 km, 2 door Zinnabar Rot, 5 speed manual. VIN 4141892.
I have one too many E30s so I want to sell this one and I'd prefer to sell it to a BMW person.
I brought this car back from the dead last summer but this spring (2012) I lucked into a minty no-work-required 1986 European E30. Instead of restoring this car, I'm going to sell it and add cool toys to the Older Euro.
Bought this car spring 2011 for $1700, and I had a new floor (not the best job you ever saw) and rear shock tower (pretty decent, actually) welded in, and replaced:
the power steering rack,
the front control arms,
the front and rear rollbar links,
rear shocks and
the guibo,
the centre driveshaft bearing,
the vandalized left rear vent window, and
the hand brake cables (no, I had no fun doing that at all, thanks for asking),
brakes discs and rotors all round, and new rear calipers.
4 wheel alignment shows the frame is still square.
E-test passed spring 2011, good results, way better than PO got.
Replaced the carpet and some hydraulic actuators for seats and the hood, too.
The PO replaced the exhaust on the cheap so it only has a single outlet.
PO also replaced the front fenders.
This car has all the cool toys.
Factory (or BMW, anyway) 6-Disc trunk mounted CD changer,
13 button OBC which needs a light bar,
black leather sport seat interior with rear ski bag,
electric sunroof, windows, central locks, and an
uncracked dash.
Wheels are now bottle caps, but order now and you can have all four of the steelies with winter tires that it came with. Three of the steelies are actually round!
Smile nicely and offer me the asking price and you can have the basketweave in the spare tire well, and its centre cap and removal tool.
Anti-lock brakes need a new sensor.
Call or text Brian at 613-620-7890, Ottawa, or post incredulous replies to this post.
