Yesterday was ASE's first TA of the season at the Autodrome St-Eustache, and it was a great one.
It was my first time participating in a Time Attack and man it was fun!!! Got the setup of the car dialed in, and it felt awesome.
Here's a vid of my first "race" session, getting used to the V710s. Fastest lap in this video was a 57.9s, and I managed to get down to a 57.1s by the end of the day.

Next event is June 3rd - if you can make it, you should come!
Definitely an awesome event! Lots of highly skilled drivers and fast cars and the bimmers were actually well represented. What Shawn doesn't say is that his 57.9 was one of the top five raw times of the day!
Here's what it looks like on street tires. I managed a 1:00.923 in the last timed session. Very fun and intense track.

Congrats, 57.1s is really fast at ASE. My best lap there was 56.4s with my E46 M3 last year and I put a lot of effort building the car and know that track really well.
I'm not surprized however, I saw you and your brother at AISA school at Calabogie and you guys were very fast. You are both really good drivers. And your cars just fit ASE which is all about momentum.
What happen with your brother, I can't see any time from him?
I might be there this weekend at round 2 in street class with my Z4MC. I hope I will be able to do around 1:00:00.

Thanks for the compliments!! It really was an awesome day.
Chris had (and is still having) some engine trouble - keeps getting fuel cut at WOT, and isn't sure what it is. He's replaced the MAF, the fuel filter... still can't figure it out.
I was supposed to be there this Sunday as well, but last Friday at Mosport didn't go so well for me, so I'm not going to be able to make it.
Well, the second ASE Time Attack event of 2012 is in the books. Chris (Chris916 on here) had a good day having finally solved his motor issues (it seems) and claiming a top five time overall. I was also pleased with getting below the one-minute mark and placing third in-class.
