thats a lie, but on the serious side, my stock (at the time 325i) pulled a 15.2 with the stock 15's on and with my 18's the best time i could pull was a 15.8!

i hit 13.7 @ cayuga on my first 1/4 mile of my life, in brian_m3's 2002 m3...
i had 6 runs that day, all were 13.7 or 13.8..
gladdom3 and brian_m3 both hit 13.6
moerom ran a 13.5 in his truck

i'm pretty sure he meant 15.4 at 89MPH

and that sounds just about the same as mine. so i guess ur Z3 is 2,8L ? check my sig for my times

I'd love to try and break the 15 second mark but it is highly unlikely.

My car is stock with the exception of a chip, I think it would prolly run it in around 15.3? not sure what the stock numbers are

I think that's the last time ur gonna see Moerum running mid 13's.
If Moerum gets to the mods I suspect he's gonna do, he's going into the 12's!
Impressive for a 4700 lbs. Tank!

Hummm, maybe I should start hinting to the Wife for one of those for a daily driver.....:D

I wanna try 1/4mile one day this year, probably head up with all my Honda/VW buddies, mid-high 14's would be nice.

Hey thinair, with a 3.15 LIMITED SLIP, i believe it would be very difficult to pull off those kind of times!
you would need a better gear ratio to pull something like that off!

I've heard of stock 328's pulling of 14.9's....ah well, I'll find out once i hit the track.

Rolled_Out

thinair will hit the mid-high 14's for sure...
as long as he can drive fairly well :P

yeah, 2.93 stock, but they also have 206ft-lbs vs. your 184ft-lbs.

OHHHHHHHHHH, they have a 2.93?!
well then my appologies, you should have a better time than a stock 328 with the differential alone!!
but if the m3's came with a 3.15 wouldn't that mean that a 328 has a higher top speed!?

Yep, Mkgino and I did a rolling second gear pull and by the time I shifted into third I was a car length ahead already.

And theoretically the 328 has a higher top speed, but the 328 won't reach redline in 5th, not enough top end power to overcome the wind resistance.

And only the 94-95 M3's came with 3.15's, the 96+ have 3.23's (which I want eventually).

i see, so therefore a 95 M3 stock would be slower??

well as for the Bimmer who knows, I havent tracked it yet, but my last Car (CHARGED GTP) did a best of 13.79 at like 92. it was cool. ShitI miss that car is was fast, but my bimmer handles abtter so i guess its a good trade off. Bimmer should pull of like a high 14 or low 15 time.

What you think.

Harps.

If your motor is strong and getting the right fuel mixture? i'd say you would be in the high 15's
