It doesn't have the BT module... do you hear a beep or does anything change on the cluster when you press it? No? then you don't have BT... just a steering wheel with the buttons...

i dont hear anything, but i do have the bluetooth speakers in the car. Above the rearview mirror and two more in the middle of the roof. why would BMW put these speakers FOR bluetooth and also have bluetooth options on the steering wheel, but no bluetooth....?

Just because the slots are there, doesn't mean it's in there. In 2000 Bluetooth was expensive and not widely available in cars. I would be surprised to find BT in a car of that age that wasn't retrofitted.

My Z4 - a 2007 has all those things too - no module.

So basicly its an option in the car that you can get installed..

Yup... From what I've seen in pricing, it's not worth it...
