short shifters

I bought the e90 545i Short shifter

The measurements are 1.9" from the linkage to the ball center to center, and 8.1 from the center of the ball to end.

UUC shifter for the Z3M is 2.5 and 7.0 this is by far the most aggressive, but does not work for the e36 as it hits the driveshaft.

The hacked shifter that was in my e36 is 2.3 and 7.1, this is about the same dimension as the UUC shifter for my e36

why didnt you get the oem mz3 shifter?

My understanding was that the e90 Short Shifter was "the" one to get. Do you know the measurements of the mz3 shifter ?

actually I found the measurements. They are 2.3 and 7.4 actually much better than the e90, but would have to be bent for the e36

Was there something wrong with the e36 kit? are these supposed to be a bit better?

I'm keeping the UUC shifter for my e36, found bearings for it.

Nice thing about the UUC is that the shaft is adjustable up and down

the bend isnt hard to do. If youre worried, comes prebent from here
