Called the dealer this morning and they claim they don't know anything about it yet...

I don't know if it's deny but maybe it hasn't hit the dealers yet or just about to. It has hit all the major news media and now being picked up by everyone it seems from Forbes to Consumer Reports.

I had an issue not to long ago with my e90. The main power cable running to power distribution box behind the glove box shorted and cooked the box and cable! Not impressed.

my buddy had this issue with his E60 525, the battery cable started to stink at the back. He went to the dealer, they told him his car doesn't need this recall done. He's pissed WTF?

call BMW directly with the VIN and they can verify if the recall applies? i suspect dealership won't do it if they don't get reimbursed.

i don't know what to think about this recall...how likely is it to happen? is it a loose bolt?

yeah it's a loose bolt. It keeps getting loose after you tighten it

Use new bolt? Maybe some locknut tightener or something?

already on locktite, thing is it's really close to a metal surface, like if the battery shifts even abit it'll short

Local dealership still claims to have no idea of the recall. Odd considering the media states 163,000 or so CAD vehicles affected.
